Me starting my eight-hour shift, sans blouse. As you can imagine, not having your arms covered at all and removing one heavy layer of cloth from underneath your body armor makes a HUGE difference. We also recently received garden-style pressure sprayers for each guard tower. We fill them with water and use them on the mist setting to hose us down.

Another sign of how hot it gets here: the past three days our Internet was down because the box on the satellite receiver dish that translates the satellite data into computer data was overheating. Combine 120+ temps and a heck of a lot of guys trying to chat, surf, and download, and what else could it do but overheat?
