Rooftops are flat and double as both patio and utilitarian space for drying clothes, space for holding tanks, and places to sleep during the hottest months of the summer (note the steel bed frames in the left corner of the rooftop here). This is a shot of a doctor's home near Chemical Ali's old palace. Doctors at local hospitals earn something like $200 per month while doctors at private hospitals can earn much more (see shot above).
