This shot from near the main market is a good cross-representation of Iraqi clothing styles. The man getting on the bus is wearing western clothing, the man behind him has a shimagh head scarf around his white kufi prayer cap and sports traditional Kurdish clothes, the young man behind him is wearing western clothes, the woman wears the traditional black burga, and the guy at the end of the line is wearing blue jeans. It's just another day in the cultural, ethnic, period, and religious 'melting pot' of Kirkuk. Posted by Picasa
