This woman and her son were just passing by. As the kids on the ground got more agressive and needy (and more difficult to hand stuff out to), it was nice to bring a smile to an adult's face too. It was also nice to hand someone something instead of forcing it through a dozen other needy hands and get a nod of appreciation back.
